Cheltenham Day 3

Going to be a quiet day at Cheltenham for me.  I had a maximum bet on Well Chief at 5/4 so was disappointed when it fell.   I covered some of my losses by backing Voy each way at 5/1.  I advised this to most people as a safe bet to nothing so I did better for other people than myself.

The trading software had a quiet day quietly notching three winning trades at Wolverhampton.  I will be a lot more work on the trading software as I think I can improve it more.

Cheltenham Day 1 Reveiw

It started will a well hatched plan.  After backing Amaretoo Rose with Paddy Power at 11/4 (3.75). I happy to lay off at 3.35.   I have backed some more at 5/2 with vcbet with their concessions.  This was left for me to lay in running.   As soon as the race started I put a lay in the system for 1.34.   My stats show this is good value.   As I am sure you know the rest is history.  The horse came swinging on the bridle and then got well beat by two fighting horses.   A very good start to Cheltenham indeed.

This was compounded by the fact that the trading system had done a very nice job in the first at Sedgefield.   Backing the fac at 2.24 and laying comfortably at 1.57 with about a mile to go.

The second race at Cheltenham went pretty well too.  I had backed My Way de solzen at 7/2.  I laid again in running at 1.34.   I also tried a trade on fair along but was caught out by the changing  tactics and this was a losing lay.   I had backed Jack the Giant each way at 20/1 so was happy with that results as well.  That was pretty much the highlight of my day.

I had a successful trade in 2.15 Sedgefield.  An unsuccessful dutch in the 2.50.  Next it came to 3.15 the main event of the day.   I really wanted to lay Detriot City when it went 2.7 but decided that I had too much liability from cash converting on this horse so elected not too.  It was well stuffed and although Afsoun got another each way return for me it was at the cost of going out of the placepot with Hardy Eustace being edged out.

I had some money on L’adventure and Royla Auclair (who again flattered to deceive).   I traded heads onto the ground but only for small profit.   It is actually funny reading this back as I actually had a pretty good day just does feel that way as I started better than I finished.

All in all a successful day if a little disappointing from a confidence and judgement point of view.

3.15 Cheltenham a great concession race

There are numerous opportuneties to cash in on free cash in this race.   Detriot City is 3.25 (9/4) with betterbet, paddy power, betdirect, ladbrokes and 3.2 with betfair.

In addition  Straw bear is 8.5 (15/2) with better and betdirect.

Cheltenham 17:20 2m 0f 110yrds Class 1 Fred Winter Juvenile Novices’ Handicap Hurdle

The last race of day provides with another easy cash convertor this time courtesy of Gaspara.   Back with Ladbrokes (£50) at 4/1 (5.0) and lay with betfair at 4.9.    I personally think Gaspara will win this race so I would hedge with it slightly.   I expect money to come for this one as well.  So I lay £50 off and more nearer the race.

Cheltenham 14:35 2m 0f Class 1 Irish Independent Arkle Challenge Trophy Chase

This is the second race on the card and provides yet more angles to convert concessions to cash.

Don’t Push it is available at 9/2 (5.5) with the following bookmakers and can be laid easily at 5.5 on betfair.

Tote £50 Free bet
Blue Square  £25 Free bet
Stan James £25 Free bet
Corals £20 Free bet

£120 Pounds easy money.

I personally fancy My Way De Solzen at 7/2.

Cheltenham Concessions Review for Tuesday 13th February 2007 Part 1

The waiting over and now you can cash in on all the concessions that the bookmakers want to through at you.  Please note this article is aimed at people who love free lunches and will not be tempted to get the gambling buzz.

2.00 Cheltenham 14:00 Anglo Irish Bank Supreme Novices’ Hurdle

Get you Cheltenham off to a flying start by taking advantage of a massive £30 Free bet with Paddy Power.  Mr Power is sticking his neck on this race and laying the hot pot favourite Amaretto Rose at 11/4 (3.75) , this can be laid easily at the same price on the exchanges.

My suggestion would be open an account deposit £30.   Back Amaretto rose to win £30 at 11/4.  You then receive an immediate £30 credit to your account.   Put this £30 on Amaretto Rose at 11/4.   I would then use your exchange account (Betfair,Betdaq, wbx) to lay Amaretto Rose not to win the race at 3.75.  I would suggest laying £45.   I would expect Amaretto Rose to shorten before the off tomorrow and it stands a t great chance in this race.    If you need to open an exchange accounts then I recommend Betfair and use the following refer and earn code 9CU93E9AE to get a further £20 free bet.

On this advice if Amaretto Rose wins you make a profit of £41.25 and if it loses you will make £15.  Main dangers in my opinion are hidden the evidence and Tipperary all star.

I will leave you to make the final decision you could just lay £30 and if Amaratto wins you win just under £90 and if it loses then you have lost nothing.

I would do the bet now as they offering non runner no bet and pay double result as well so you are fully covered.

Granit Jack currently available with betterbet and betdirect at 9/1 and only 9.4 on betfair.  Just cashed in myself.
