The each way service bagged a fourth place this was compounded by two seconds.  My subscriptions services netted a loss of -£400.  The Wilkinson system continued its good run of form making a profit of £180.66.  Still well in front for the month so more than happy.

Wilkinsons winners today Silver Hotspur 9/2, Paradise Dancer 7/2, Basalt 5/2, Cold Turkey 5/2 and Ninth House at 2/1.

A very mixed day today.  I had to have all my positions mapped out by 1pm today due to family commitments.   My each way service provided me with a 10/1 winner.  My trading gave be a rare lose of -£241.60.  Wilkinson steamed in with another impressive day making a profit of £394.66.  It is now through the 11k mark in under 5 months.

I had a relatively heavy night out on Friday.   I knew I had to leave the house at 2pm for another event on Saturday, it was always going to be a day where time was very precious and therefore caution was the watch word.  This is how I played it.

Doncaster 1.25  I had already backed Tidal Bay with both Wilkinson and one of my other systems at 1.5.  When leslingtaylor drifted out to 5/1.  I decided that backing this each way and with the free faller concession really was value.  I was confident I would be able to trade out at worse.   A nice profit was locked in when Tidal Bay made the first mistake and second mistake for me was a disappointment as the perfect result would have been for Tidal Bay to have won.   A nice profit all the same.

Brimardon had one betting race and one lay.   The lay unfortunately, was price and position in the market related and was at 3pm.  I would be on the train at this point so had to rely on my mobile.  As it turned out it was a very close call but I decided to play cautiously and did not lay it.  It got well stuffed.  I am not bothered though as this is an important skill required in laying.  You won’t always get it right but it better to miss a 9/2 lay a few times than get caught laying a horse that wins.

Silverburn won nicely for backing side of things and it was just a shame about the 2 non runners which meant what could have be a massive profit day was only a good profit day.  The important thing is the strike ratio is being maintained with the new software and therefore confidence is high about February.

Wilkinson weighed in with 300 plus day as well which again shows how consistent it is.  In fact I am placing a lot less bets with Wilkinson now that I have refined the software and the profits seem to be maintaining.  Further improvements to come but with a softly softly approach.   Bear in mind this system has been running only 5 months and has turned £10 in over £10000.  I am confident it will continue to work but I am aware some systems work for over 2 years and then fail badly.

Another very good month in terms of profit.   Although towards the end of the month the consistency has been lacking and could have been a lot worse had it not been for the laying side assisting.   A month where I had 6 seconds at price of 14/1 or greater.  I am due a couple of big priced winners.  On the flip side I am due a couple of big losers on the laying side.  Ironically Feburaury has often been a good month for laying and a difficult month for backing in the past.

Achievement of the month: The upgraded scalp/arbitrage finder.  Got a few minutes to spare and fancy nicking a few easy quid then this will make the whole process much easier.  Next step will be to auto log you in and all you need to do is confirm.  Coming soon.

A 14/1 shot finishes second.   Several dutches go astray with the selections just failling to meet their trade out values.   Lucky with my lays to reduce the damage.  A nice winner from Brimardon.  A very hectic and varied day at work to say the least. 

For good measure I upgraded my scalp finder as well.   It now includes the current exchanges laying values with the volume of money available.   This will save a lot of time and avoid chasing scalps that aren’t there.   I will be adding some weighing for bookies as well.  We all know you can get more money on with the bigger bookmakers albeit there are less concession available.   It will take some time to come up with the right interface for this. All the same I am pleased I set myself a coding target last night and I hit the back of the net.   I had less than 2 hours to do the work as I can only do this work when there is racing as this makes the testing ‘real’.

As a result though I am still waiting for my results parser to finish so I don’t have the Wilkinson profit calculated.  Looks like I will be posting a daily loss of around the £200 mark.   Today looks like its going to a busy day so all to play for will I get back to 11k mark or drop below the 10k mark.  Either way as the gambler says I any profit is good profit.

Remember before you bet today consider is this an investment?  If the answer is no then buy yourself a beer instead.   If the answer is yes then good luck with your investment.

With 1 winners from 3 selections from subscription services and a lucky trading day for myself.  I laid Roll Along.  Yes, I was very lucky with that one.  Wilkinson results not yet in but shoudl turn in a profit but not enough to make up for other losses.  I am still in confident mood though and as the Brigadier would say Form is temporary, class is permanent.  Roll On tomorrow.  Wilkinson piled with a good profit of £256.50.
