Enjoying gambling again

I know many people told me that I would enjoy gambling much more if I traded rather than used systems.   I have been working on hard on automation and trading automatically.  Today was a great example I set the my system up this morning.   I went out this afternoon to watch the Simpsons movie.   Had a throughly good time and arrived home to find I had made money.  Money that was not influenced by emotions or what had happened in previous races.

I have a number of automation process.  One does auto scalps for me, one does auto trades for and one does auto lays for me.   I am currently doing this at relatively small stakes at £50 a point but over the weekend this has netted me a cool £1000.   Now this is far from a recovery based on the amount of money I have lost through using systems this year which equates to a cool 40 times this.   The beauty was no more waiting around for texts, stressing about getting prices, continually phoning back phone lines as they not on time and stressing more about getting the right money on at the right price.   In the case of lays worrying about whether it is a lay or whether I am getting the best price.   Now the majority of this I have automated and there is a lot more to come.

So things are starting to look a little brighter for me.  Please don’t get me wrong the systems I choose this year with shin and make a profit but I took many on with a too small bank.   Maybe I needed to fail to give the push to make my own automated systems.

Smiling despite everything

I am still not feeling well at all.  It is taking me an age to get going in the morning.  Racing continues to be in and out but I am still fighting and the revenue generated from scalping is proving extremely useful.   I am on business in Munich for 3 days next week so the scalper won’t be turned on then.  Apologies for this.

Latest update

I spent a little time working on the scalp finder last night and have added the following bookmakers to the list, BetUK, Sunderlands, Bet1128,  betchronicle and canbet.   The next step is to publish this data in more useful areas.  For instance I will be published the adrian massey rating allowside the best odds.  Which will be sorted by odds and concessions.   This again will another first.   Another feature I will add is an odds by horse name.  So if you just want to back a horse based on name then you can make sure you get the best value.  I am many plans for this data and will be using this technique on football data soon to finds those lovely arbs.

The auto trading software continues to steadily be restoring my bettingn bank so things are looking good there.  I will be adding more features to this soon as well.

I am struggling with being under the weather currently which is not helping.  Must not grumble though as I have power and water which is more than a lot of people in this country.

Reasons to be cheerful

With so many people waking up to no power and no fresh water in an area I know fairly well it reminds you how lucky I am.   So what I have to get up reasonably earlier to catch a train to get to work.  At least I was able to wash and watch some tv and use my computer this morning.

The weather continues to play havoc with the racing and to be honest I am treading water with it currently. I am hanging in there so to speak.

Finally the free scalp finder has arrived

After weeks of talking about this tool I have finally finished it and put it live.   Currently it checks 22 bookmakers and one exchange.  I expect by the end of the week to have increased this to 30 bookmakers and 3 exchanges.   I will not only use the comparison data for scalp finding, making matched betting easier but I will also add to the free systems I have live so it will save you time when placing bets.   Click here to see it in action.  Any comments let me know as I am keen to continually improve it.

Friday 13th

The depression has passed for now and the reality of how I am going to get my finances in order is kicking in.  As with everything all the bills come at once and when you need your car to get through a service or MOT cheapily it doesn’t.   I am at the point where I need to increase my income stream in the short term very quickly.  Time for action.

Back to work

My holiday has come to an end and it is back to work.  The weather is lovely currently in Woking which is nice albeit I seem to have bad hay fever today.   I am pleased to be back at work as it is gives a break from my other activities.   There is lots to look forward too and I am slowly getting my confidence back.

Coming to terms with it or not?

The last week or so has been a very interesting and eventful week for me.   I am still coming to terms with losing the bank.  In fact I am disappoited in how difficult I am finding it.  In reality is it a small thing but it is taking me a little time to accept this.

I am sure in another week time I will be feeling a lot better about things.   I am grateful for everything I have.

Quick update

I am still feeling depressed despite being generally happy and remaining focused on positive things.  I am sure in the next few days I come out the other end.   Life is a gift and should not be wasted.  Nothing else much to report.

Lack of posts

Not sure why but my last 3 posts don’t seem to have worked.  Anyway I am coming out the otherside from my deperession and am very much looking forward to the future.   It is day 4 back on the office and although work is not fantastic it could be a lot worse.
