At the half way point in the year and it could be my last portfolio betting day. With the football and the lays letting me down last night it means I am at the bottom of my bank. To be honest I thought this day would feel a lot worse than it does and maybe it will in the next few days and weeks. Its not to say I am not disappointed, angry and frustrated. It was a very ambitous plan but I thought I had the skill and the angles covered. Unfortunately a combination of weather and some good decesions by the bookmakers have meant they have won against me at least.
It is ironic that I have more acounts closed or restricted this year when in fact I have lost for the first year in my 19 years of gambling. I am sure after a break I will be back better prepared and more determined than ever. Do I regret having a real go this year not at all. Did I expect it would be so one sided not at all. I was expecting much more of a roller coaster time. Apart from April where I won big that has not really been the case.
Can I blame one system? No they are all performing badly even the one that is in profit is behind its profit target for the year. Will the systems return to profit by the end of year? I am pretty sure they will and that will probably be the most painful time when they do because I will be thinking what if I had a bigger bank or what if I had not doubled stakes from previous years.
Anyway thanks for enjoying the road with me.

Hi Brian,
I’m sorry to hear things aren’t going so well at the moment - I’m sure you’ll be back after a break.
Good luck with whatever you do.
All the best.
