At the half way point in the year and it could be my last portfolio betting day. With the football and the lays letting me down last night it means I am at the bottom of my bank. To be honest I thought this day would feel a lot worse than it does and maybe it will in the next few days and weeks. Its not to say I am not disappointed, angry and frustrated. It was a very ambitous plan but I thought I had the skill and the angles covered. Unfortunately a combination of weather and some good decesions by the bookmakers have meant they have won against me at least.
It is ironic that I have more acounts closed or restricted this year when in fact I have lost for the first year in my 19 years of gambling. I am sure after a break I will be back better prepared and more determined than ever. Do I regret having a real go this year not at all. Did I expect it would be so one sided not at all. I was expecting much more of a roller coaster time. Apart from April where I won big that has not really been the case.
Can I blame one system? No they are all performing badly even the one that is in profit is behind its profit target for the year. Will the systems return to profit by the end of year? I am pretty sure they will and that will probably be the most painful time when they do because I will be thinking what if I had a bigger bank or what if I had not doubled stakes from previous years.
Anyway thanks for enjoying the road with me.

Reasons to be cheerful. 1) My house is not under water. 2) I am relatively healthy 3) The world is my oyster. Yes, you guessed it another disappointing day on the account with one particular system having a terrible week and one system having a good week. Things will turn around. Sometimes it is just a matter of hanging in there and keeping the faith. I have been here before and I am sure I be here again. Each time should be easier but in a strange way sometimes it gets harder as you strive all the time to avoid times like this. Hindsight is such a wonderful thing.

Ascot was interesting day in which I had the realisation of a lot of things that maybe I already knew but was not accepting. I won’t go into these now as I need to formulate a plan to change my life to be in-allign with these discoveries. It could have so easily of been a winning day but I had 4 seconds in the first four races and fortunately decided it was not to be my day at that point. I did a lot of reflecting in the last 2 races and in the after events proceedings.

This time last year I was in the middle of moving and the middle of a massive winning month. This year I do not have the stress of moving but have reached the lowest point in the bank thus far. This year has consistently been indifferent with only April being a good month. I live to fight another day but I really do need a change of fortune and soon.
Its Ascot tomorrow so my spirits will not be dampened. In addition I have made good progress on the new website. Still masses of content to publish but I have really broken the back of the work which is fabulous news.

Another roller coaster day on the account where I was well infront after the afternoon racing but ended up slightly down after evening racing. One selection in particular was matched at 1.35 in running and I had the trade out set at 1.34. All part of the education I suppose.
As for the new website I have had lots of feedback and I am working on many of the improvements that were suggested. I lost a lot of time last night as I left my keys at work so had to go back to get them. Hopefully tonight I will have a little bit more time.

It was a good day on the account yesterday thanks to Brimardon which puts in me in an optimist mood for Royal Ascot. The weather so far has been dry with a bit of sunshine so I expect good ground at Ascot which will be important. The new site is now officially live albeit there are a few things that have not quite made the launch but will be added through out this week as time allows. I am happy with the framework I have to work in now. I have the first week og July off work so I am confident in that week I will be able to complete a lot of the features I wanted to have ready for today.
I have had a lot of people drop out of my party for Ascot for Friday so if anyone is interested drop me a line and make me sensible offer for the ticket.

I am looking forward to Ascot week. To be honest with the weather I am not sure what to expect but at least I should see some quality horse racing. The account is at its lowest for the year after two maximum bets went astray on Saturday and on Sunday a lay just got up. To be honest I am getting quite used to riding the roll coaster now.

Yesterday was a solid day on the account which was pleasing. With Royal Ascot to enjoy next week hopefully things are looking up albeit the weather forecasts are not great. Had an opportunity to get a few things straight in my head yesterday which has allow me the chance to keep the momentum going in my life.

It has been a busy few days both mentally and physically for me. Lots of changes at work, cash flow problems needing to be resolved and personal traumas to address. I have Royal Ascot to look forward to next week which should be excellent. Train to catch see ya.

Another interesting couple of days in life of Brian. There is lots of change going on in my personal life and my working life. Combined with the fact that I have nearly hit the halfway point of the year and things are not looking good on the main account. This is compounded with a cash flow problem, which makes the next few weeks a little stressful and complicated. Life would not be so fun if is was not this complicated though.
Not long now until Royal Ascot which should be fun. It is also means I have stacks to get done on my website for the offical launch next week.
