Thursday

I am really not feeling well today.  Yesterday it was my leg that was hurting and today this has spread to my hands.  On the gambling front it a bad losing day yesterday as I was the broidesmaid in 5 races.   So unless I have a massive day today May will finish down.

Sandown highlights

I went to watch the racing at Sandown last night.    In the first race I had a small win bet on Presto Leventa which duly obliged at 7/2.   Good start.   Had a nice pint of beer.   In the second race could not make my mind up between Queen’s Best and Killenary Boy.  So i decided on a reverse exacta and also 2 single bets.   What a start to the evening.  Had another beer.

The next race I thought the favourite was too short.  So I looked to oppose it, I went with Fishforcompliments and a reverse exacta with the favourite.  Matt one of the people in our group went for Massive at 12/1 which proved to be a wise choice.  Beers all round.

The next race I sided with Mount Kilmanjaro and Bulwark both proved to be disappointing with Allegreto winning at 12/1 again backed by Matt.   I said if he managed to get another 12/1 winner in the next race I would give up gambling.    More beers.

I waited patiently for the right price on the next race.   One brave bookmaker went 14/1 on Urban Warrior and I snapped it up immediately each way.   Nice , more beers.

The final race I had good information about black rock, so again I waited for the 11/8 and I went in large.   Unfortunately it ran disappointing.   I ended a few quid up after deducting beer, food and admission.  So that is 2 race meeting so far this year that have paid for themselves.    A very pleasant evening indeed.

Weekend update

I am currently at my parents after picking my brother at this morning and driving him here.  I have had a really good which not much racing to interfere.  So I have been able to go swimming with my nieces and nephew, have dinner with them and watch happy feet.

The rain that is due to last for another few days is likely to make racing difficult which is all part of the game but extra frustrating as last year June was my best month and I am desperately in need of a mamonth month from one of the systems.  On the positive side I am still alive to fight another day.

I have made quite a bit of progress on my new website automating so of data processing tasks this is very pleasing indeed.   I am still aiming for Royal Ascot to launch but I am not how realistic that is.  I could launch then it depends how finished I want the site when I launch.  It is more consistent than the current one and a lot more organised already.  With the bonus of being less time consuming to maintain I could pretty much go with what I have now.  Ideally I like to finish a few more features so I will push for that.

One of the biggest decesions I need to make is what is the logo going to be.   I really do think I need a lasting logo which I can use on all mediums to promote the site.  Not being very artistic this is proving a real challenge.

Friday and its a bank holiday weekend :)

The week is nearly over and it has been a disappointing and hard week on many fronts.  Work has been extremely difficult and account has had a tough week.   There is still time to turn May around but it looks as if it is going to be a bad month.  There is no doubt that confidence is a low level.  I will try to remain positive though as I know things can change for the better very quickly.

Thursday

The week is flying by and time seems such a precious commodity.  On the account it has been a very bad week which means that May is looking like a bad month now.  After the success of April it is even more disappointing but as I tell people it is the long term that counts with most of these systems.   I am very much looking forward to the bank holiday and being able to do some trading.  In addition I will taking some holiday soon so I have a week of trading.

Monday again

It is likely to be a very busy week.  Despite this I’m confident that I will get a lot of work done on the new website.  It is important that I put the final touches to a trading software so that it can be released soon.

Sunday update

It was another disappointing day for the account is once game we were set to be the bridesmaid rather than the bride.  It was nice to watch Kevin Peterson’s hundred against the west Indies.  Hopefully we can have a very good bowling performance tomorrow and wrap up Game.

With just over a week to go on until the end of the month would be very important to have a strong finish.  The weather seems to have cleared up in the last couple of days.  This should increase my chances of finishing a month on a profit.

Dictating using vista

This is the first entry into my blog I had dictated on my new windows vista PC. I am currently watching the football match between Manchester united and Chelsea. So far the game has not been very interesting and he looks like my lay of Manchester united to win the game looks good.

The horse racing today has not been very successful with a number of second places. Patients remains a key component for this year’s success. I’m hopeful that I can still poster profit for may. I’m looking forward to a very successful June as this was my most successful month last year.

I’m continuing to work on my new trading software and many other similar projects to to expand my portfolio of income generating streams. My main focus at the moment continues to be automating as many processes as I can.

I’m currently backing up my racing database so that I can migrate it on to my new faster machine. This should allow me to do much more analysis.

This has taken me a lot less time to dictate than it would have to written in this. Hopefully this will allow me to not only name a lot more interesting but a lot more thorough.

Saturday update

A big day of sports today so I am going to be very busy.  I am starting to really enjoy my new pc.  You can certainly tell the difference between fast web and slow websites.   I am a long way from having everything set as I want it but I am determined to take a slow structered approach.

Friday

A quick update on things.  My new pc arrived early.  So I have started configuring it.  I am still getting used to VISTA which is a mixture of pleasure and pain.   I think I soon begin to love it though.  I am going to take my time over fully migrating to my new pc as I don’t want to install rubish and I am not really decided what the main purpose of the pc is going to be.

As for gambling well it was a case of close buy no cigar yesterday with the max bet trading 1.04 in running but losing.  A copule of other seconds plus some terrible runs means that I am now in a loss position for May on the account which is extremely disappointing.

It will be important to get a couple of string days behind me in the next copule of days to boast the confidence.
