A nearly day

I had 2, yes 2 20/1 come second.  A maximum bet trade at 1.05. Late goals in the football destroying my accumulator and a late change in the second favourite crashing that system.   I am still well in profit though for April and although I had a loser already today barring a major disaster though over the next couple of days I will be happy.   I am looking forward to a profitable May.

Nearly bought a house yesterday but the offer got turned down.  Lots of housework done today as well and sorting.   Yes, been very bust indeed.

Saturday

A massive day of sport with lots of racing, key football and cricket.   The account is still doing well this month around 120 points up despite some systems still struggling.  Todays could be a massive day.   With a bit of luck the last 3 days of the month will maintain the profit.  If May can then continue this trend then happy days.  There are 2 systems in particular which are overdue massive month.  I am sure there is plenty more up and downs to come on this years rollercoaster but at least this month has showed that when the systems are winning they win at rate faster than when they are losing and that is the basis of their success.

Good trading and punting.

Brief update

The Kempton evening went well when we actually got there just before the third race.  Yes, our transport was very late.  The first race we traded on ioweyou and won.  The second race would have been a loss but fortunately the signal on my phone cut out on the way to Kempton.  In total 5 out 7 races were winners on the software.   Everybody very drunk.   I was dressed up as usual and was have plenty of banter with the bookies trying to get some better odds.   The plan is to have many more evenings like this.

I noticed something pretty amazing yesterday well I thought it was amazing.  Bet365 have decided that all races from now until the end of August are best odds guanranteed races , with the guaranteed valid until the start of the race.   This is pretty amazing and will give yet another angle to make money.  I am sure there will be a response from Paddy Power.  They are still paying on the double result, maintaining the no 5p rule deduction and giving free bets on 4/1 winners on channel 4 races.  This is truely the best set of concessions since Sporting Odds stopped doing their 4% cash back trial.

On the gambling front I have had a good finish to the week and April profit is now over 100 points again.  Yes, I am still down for the month but on the positive side most systems have shown a profit this month.  If this can be maintained in May then I will soon be in the profit zone.  Again on the flip side you could argue that this month is just a lucky good month.

Update

There was a bit of a family crises at the weekend with my fiance grandad sadly passing away.  Understandly I will be a little quiet for the next week or so.

The account has suffer a little last week.  A nice winning day yesterday helped maintain a healthy 78.19 points for the month of April.   With less than a week to the end of the month I am hopeful of posting a nice profit.  A couple of systems have found a bit of consistency but the majority remain in and out.  Confidence is still fairly high but not as high as it has been.   I am still enjoying my racing.

Tomorrow I will going to Kempton which will be a very nice break.  As I did not goto Cheltenham in the end this year this will be my first race meeting.   I will be trialling my software in front of 20 odd people so will be interesting to see their reactions.

Saturday update

Been under the weather with a sore throat and cold symptons so have a quiet day just watching the football and racing and scalping a few quid here and there.  I am hoping to be back to full strength tomorrow so I can enjoy the glorious weather and get some more work on my new website done.

No fallers in the scotish national to note so a score draw on that front.  Kempton tickets arrived yesterday so beginning to look forward to that should be a good  night and hopefully will become a regular thing.  Anyway there is evening racing so back to making a few quid for me.

Don’t miss out on Scotish National

After making a tidy sum on Grand National by taking advantage of the exchanges and free faller concession we are presented with yet another chance to cash in.

Bet now

We refunded stakes on 16 horses that fell, unseated their riders, were
brought down or refused on last week’s Grand National. Despite paying
out £300,000 in Free Bets, we’ve decided to repeat the offer on Saturday’s Scottish Grand National at Ayr.

Still thinking positive

Despite a small loss on the account yesterday I am still enjoying my betting.  I played football last night so got to exercise my body as well as my mind.   The weather continue to be joyous which I think is helping very much with my happiness.   I am working hard on the relaunch of racing website.  The plan is for it to be a collaboration of a racing news site, a trading statistics site and racing information site.   It is ambitious especially as I am creating in my spare time and as regular readers will know I don’t have much of that.  The key though is automation.  I have numerous bots that auto data collection.   The next stage is to automate the population of this into my new site.

I have chosen Joomla as my content engine and phpBB as my forum engine.  So far these are the only decision to be made other than the plan launch date with is the 3rd week of June.  Initially it will be a soft launch but once is gets fully indexed in Google et al the plan is to get 5 times the traffic I get to my current site.   A big challenge I know but I do have a lot of unique information and if in the new site I can display this in a useful and attractive way then I think this is very much achievable.

Things starting to step up

We are now approaching summer racing.  There are 3 meetings today, then 5 on Friday, 6 on Saturday, 3 on Sunday, 5 on Monday and 5 on Tuesday.   This week so far has been disappointing on the account which has been a shame as we have given some of this months profit back despite the consistent weather which is extra disappointing.

The next few days are quite important if only for my confidence I really would like to post a healthy profit for April.  The problem this year has always been the second half of the month rather than the start.

Talking of summer racing.  I now have a possy of 24 people going to Kempton next Wednesday so if you are going look out for us.

Sadness at England’s display

I got it wrong I thought England would find the mental to win today and they didn’t.  Simple as we are not out of the competetion and it is time to look forward to this summer cricket.  The county championship kicks off tomorrow which should be fun.

It is also the start of the Craven meeting at Newmarket so the flat season is  now getting into full swing.  It was a losing day on the account today.  The second in a row.  I am hopeful of a winning day tomorrow though.

Tote value

Back South Africa to beat England in Cricket World Cup at 4/7 (1.57) with tote and lay them at 1.53 with betfair.   Fill your boots.
