I watched the channnel 4 documentary the other day on "The Global Warming Swindle", since then I have done a lot of research on the matter.   Only to find out that I am in the minority in thinking that emmissions really don’t have an affect on global warming.  Even if they did there is no conclusive evidence either way on global warming but if you look at the bigger picture  Cardon Dioxide emissions really aren’t the most pressing probably in the world.  What about famine and all the untalked about conflicts in the world.   The internet, tv and radio are the goverments and global coporations tools to influence our lives.  Many people now depend on jobs based on these often untrue statements.

Bet365

This is a
bookmaker that I am using more and more. They are offering a very good incentive scheme to join which are
basically 4 sets of £25 free bets.  Initially bet £25 and get a £25 free bet. You
get send an email immediately so you can convert the money to cash straight
away. Continue betting at that level and
every 10 bets you will get another £25 free bet. In total you get £100.

The site is
generally fast and easy to use. It
allows you to place multiple bets on most events. Prices are competitive but always use oddschecker or your favourite odds
comparison site. They are getting better
at accepting larger stakes which is good too.

The phone
service is extremely quick and efficient and I use this to place my

football bets most Saturdays. They
usually settle within in an hour which is pretty good for a manual phone bet.

On horse
racing they pay out on both first past the post and the official result. They offer a number of concession races with
best odds guaranteed every day. In
addition they have a number of channel 4 special races where if you back a
horse 4/1 or more and it wins you get a free bet.

Below is an
example today where you could place a £25 bet with bet365
on Arnie’s Joint at 4/1 (5.0) and lay off on exchanges for less (5.0). Receive you free bet and do the same. 

You could
decide that a) you don’t think Arnie’s joint will win, i.e. place £50 on Arnie’s Joint with bet365
at 4/1 (£25 + £25 Free bet) and lay £50 on the exchanges. 

If Arnie’s
joint wins the race you will £200 with bet365 and lose £190 on exchanges if you
matched at 4.8. Profit: £10 

If Arnie’s
joint does not win the race then you lose £25 with bet365 and win £50 minus
commission with the exchange. Profit:
~£25

Alternatively
you could decide b) that Arnie’s joint will win the race i.e. place £50 on
Arnie’s Joint with bet365
at 4/1 (£25 + £25 Free bet) and lay £25 of at < 5.0 with the exchanges. 

If Arnie’s
joint wins the race you will £200 with bet365 and lose £95 on exchanges if you
matched at 4.8. Profit: £105 

If Arnie’s
joint does not win the race then you lose £25 with bet365 and win £25 minus
commission with the exchange. Profit:
~£0

You can use
a simple spreadsheet to hedge in between if you like. My personal preference is always to assume
the horse will lose.

As it turned out Arnie’s joint lost the race so if you took my advice you would have nicely converted your concession to cash.
