If the penny had not already dropped before yesterday that trading was the way forward then with just one meeting at Wincanton it proved the case. I was trialling my new trading software for the big launch tomorrow and it did extremely only failing narrowly in one race and made a tidy return of investment on the day. On the other hand I had a fairly large bet on royal hector at 5.5, which traded as low at 1.12. I did actually manually try to trade out but on an unfamiliar computer and for some unknown reason I kept typing the wrong thing. Then I stupidly decided it was going to win. Normally I would have a prepared lay out position and just need one click. A costly mistake but never mind just more reason to work on the trading model.
I will be working on the trading model so more today and tomorrow I will use real money albeit small stakes to see how it performs. The beautiful thing is I can vary the return of investment and strike rate to suit my mood and the system will do the rest for me. I am really excited about this.
On a completely random note myspace when through the devils number of 666 friends yesterday morning and now stands at 699. It would be really good if this could be a 1000 by the time the festival comes to a close. In fact I like to increase the traffic on the blog from 50 to 100 over the festival period. Hopefully a commentary on the trading software and some incite in the runners at Cheltenham will help this.
There are many more plans in the pipeline to increase traffic to all of my sites. I am planning to have complete a massive relaunch of the main sites Brian Coplin Horse Racing Information Site and UK Horse Racing Information before Royal Ascot. I will be relaunching the football site in July for the new season as well. By this time I expect to have extended my trading software to include football. Other sports that I am considering are tennis, golf and snooker.
I can not deny it has been a very disappointing start to 2007 but I am confident that things will work out before the year is out. I have been checking the long term weather forecast I am predicting a bumper July and August.
