After reading the sports trader blog I decided I would dabble again with the betdaq exchange and see how the liquidity had improved. So far from a week of monitoring it appears that pre-event betfair matches approx 5 times what betdaq does. In-running the gap appears to be bigger. I did manage yesterday though to get my 2 lays matched in-running on betfair and profit from the 0% commission offer. So for now I will continue my experiment.

It’s good to see two of the most prominent bloggers giving Betdaq a go. As you know this is the site that I use most and do have quite a lot of success, so good luck to you.

be careful - that betdaq volume matched metric is well inflated. if i bet £10 at 5.0, it counts as £50 on betdaq. betfair only count it as £20. betdaq is deliberately overstating their volume matched by 3-5 times to make them seem large compared to betfair.

Thanks for the tip. Trust me I am being very careful and that is why I think the sports trader is doing so well. I have found betdaq a large harder than betfair due to lack of liquidity. Just watch a race in-running with them side by side and you will see exactly what I mean.
