The novelty of my trip to woking is now wearing off. The morning are cold and the evenings are dark. I suppose I must not grumble. Does make me think that in an information age why so few people actually work from home. I am definitely going to be utilising this option more and more.
A profitable start to November too boot as well which is promising. The next few months will be pivotal to my success. After a very successful October I need to not change anything and keep to my plan until the end of the year. It is going to a rollercoaster ride because that is the nature of the betting and laying stretgy I have. The important thing is to focus on the year on year targets and graph them against strike ratio’s. Being able to read and understand number is such an important factor when wanting to make a decent profit from gambling.

Have you grown bored of the blog? I though you were going to keep on with this at least until Christmas as suggested by The Gambler?

In reaction to Barbara’s comment. To be honest, not sure I am getting as much out of the blog. I seem to recall you saying to will only update the blog when there was something interesting to say. The only interesting thing in the last few entries has been you making more money than your current job. Surprises me that you wish to continue to work at LM.com. Me, I would give up and do what I seem to be better at with a lot less effort.

There are a number of interesting thoughts raised here. Firstly the purpose of the blog was twofold. One for SEO ranking to my main site which is has achieved. Secondly to keep me honest to myself on the betting. Again I think to the main degree it has succeeded. Throughout the year I have added others ideas to fold which have all failed. I did try and give selections out and I did try encourage people to use bookmakers concessions to make “free” money. I did think about running a tipping service.
To be honest the problem with the above suggestions is they take too much time. Albeit I have entered the racing post search for a tipseter for the first time just as a bit of fun.
The other thing that has made the blog difficult to maintain is the fact that a large part of my life my job at lmn is not that interesting atm. SOX has made the job very uninspiring but with every challenge their are opportunities.
To refer to Dave’s point about giving the lmn job up. Trust me I have though long and hard about this. Have been to other ineterviews and though of just doing the gambling. I have done a lot of reading on the internet and books like rich dad poor dad series. My conclusion is that it useful to have as many income streams as possible. My job does not stop my betting currently in many ways it helps me keep focussed as I don’t have time to watch the races or get involved in every race. I have to very very selective and that is a key component of the discpline.
Maybe when the interest from my betting bank is greater than my expenses then I may decide to opt for the quieter life. Currently I think the blend works well.
