We left for the Rose Bowl at approx 11.30am. The party including Clare, Clare’s dad and my mum and dad. The plan was to get the car parked by 1pm so I could do Brimardon on my mobile. Unfortunately it took until about 2.10pm before I got parked due the traffic and the strange way they had decided to organise it this time. So I only 4/1 instead of 9/2 nothing too damaging and it meant sod’s law would dictate because I did get the price that it one. A winner is a winner after all. All profit is welcome.
I did not do the lay either as this drifted was 7/4 to 9/2 and then back to about 4/1. The value was around the 2/1 mark.
Back to the cricket well ultimately England lost. This was for a number of reasons none of they batsman found gettting boundaries easy and so they got in and then when striking to accelerate got themselves out. In addition although the Enlgand ground fielding was better than Pakistan’s. We dropped two catches and a couple of half chances. Plus and probably the most disappointing fact we bowl too many wides and no balls. A really good day had by all. Got home at about 1am.
