I am on holiday today and hopefully will be watching England versus Pakistan. My parents are coming to stay as well which is nice.
Terrible day on the nags yesterday as I have 2 horses beaten on the line by outsiders. I had backed my selections at 6/1 and 8/1. Ended the day 15 points down. Not a good start to September on that front but I am not too fussed as it is all part of the game and there are going to be a lot of exciting development in that arena for me soon.
The new auto-betfair tool is useful as it deals with in-running laying off which would have been useful yesterday to me except I had to rush to London for meetings. The new Brimardon system will be available too which has a trading interface so will be interesting to see how that does. In addition my new rating system should be soon available after a 6 month paper trial. All in all the world of Brian is looking good.
I am currently on book 3 of Rich Dad Poor Dad but I am really reading a bit like a novel i.e. just as a thought provoker rather than anything else. I am determined though to read at least one book a week that is relative to either business or horse racing. I have also believed that knowledge is the most precious commonodity and the beaty is knowledge can be acquired for free or at least very cheaply.
