Tuesday 4th July Racing

The gambler asked about my 20 minutes.   So here is example of what I am done for this afternoon’s racing.  Gone through the rating and shortlisted the following races:-

2.15 Hamilton 3rd rated won
2.30 Brighton  Top rated second and not good enough
3.15 Hamilton Another race that the rating got all wrong.  Always the way when you go public!
4.30 Brighton
5.00 Brighton

2.15 Hamilton I have special gold top rated but the second rates Howard princess is too short for dutching purposes.   May have a small bet on Special Gold and lay off in running.  Traded out for 10p profit.

2.30 Brighton A 5 runner afair and I think I will dutch my top two.  Namely Peggy’s flower (2.63) and Fair ‘n’ Square 6.6.   Dutch goes down.

3.15 Hamilton I like Ulysees and Dispol Veleta in this.  Only a small dutch though as this race looks like a tough one.

4.30 Brighton An interesting handicap where I will probably dutch the top three in my ratings elusive warrior, mid valley and danish blues.

5.00 Brighton Another outing in quick succession for Malapropism should see a win.  I also have Willhewiz as a saver.

This evening looks a bit better.

A new chapter

The move is now done and dusted.  I have just worked out my new route to the station.  It is about a 3 mile walk but it will do me good.  I am sure after a few months will just used to waking up even earlier.  I am going to still aim for the 7.50 train with the 8.09 train as my reserve.  On the betting front strangely despite the fairly consistent weather the results are not as good as they were at the begginning of June.  Trading is still going well but I think I am resigned to being a part time trade and gambler for a while longer yet.  It is a scary thought but hopefully I can last a few more years at Lastminute despite all the changes.  I am usually pretty adaptable.   I am also view change as an opportunity for better things.

This is my last day off before I am back to the daily grind.  I am really pleased I took the extra days off to recover have been doing a lot of sleeping over the last few days.  My batteries are well and truly recharged I am sure.  Feel shattered but I know once I get going again the energy will return.  The weather has been great.
