Another weekend ends

It was a lovely weekend where I got to see my nieces and nephew.   I got an early birthday present in the form of a digital camera so beware there will be a few more photos on this blog in the near future.  On the gamlbing front no bets or lays on the main accounts waiting for Brimardon results to settle down after a terrible July.   I have been worked hard though and put a tipping service on tip exchnage.   I have be working hard on my racing database and hope to have even more information published from in the very near future which is fantastic news.

Weekend

It is the weekend again and the sun is shining.  Song to music all the way from Ash Vale to Cam last night.  The journey took about 2 hours.   Had a nice chat with my parents and then a nice sleep.  A lie in until about 6.30am as well.  Now I am up and about.

On the gambling front things go from bad to worse as a maximum bet on Part Timer goes down and the saver could only come second.  Good thing is I am not that worried about it so maybe I am finally cracking the mental discpline to succeed.   I know I could make money at racing if I did it full time whether I could make as much as my current full time job that is the dilema.  The combination of the two also may not work but hey I am having fun and I am still in profit for the year.

Racing today looks very difficult and with the inconsistent and rain about I think I might have a day off but I wait until the prices are out.

Michael Carrick

It is with great sadness that we say good bye to Michael Carrick.  This player has had such an influence at Spurs.  He was muted as the reason that Mr Santani left the club. He was the reason Spurs made Europe and had such much hope of Champions league place.  Ironically he was one of the players worse affected by the virus that ultimately reduced Spurs chance of that Champions league place.  Should he have played a bigger part in the world cup, who knows?

The important thing is that we have plenty of quality players to play in this role so the void will be filled.

Brimardon continues to frustrate with a serios of second placers.  It will turn around I am sure.

Science Facts of the Day:

There is enough fuel in a full tank of a Jumbo Jet to drive an average car four times around the world.
If you could drive to the sun — at 55 miles per hour — it would take about 193 years
The moon is one million times drier than the Gobi Desert.
Just twenty seconds worth of fuel remained when Apollo 11’s lunar module landed on the moon.
A Boeing 707 uses four thousand gallons of fuel in its take-off climb.
The planet Saturn has a density lower than water. So, if placed in water it would float.

2 days to the weekend

A night of thunderstorms means I am more tired than normal this morning.  At least it is only 2 days to the weekend.   There is some interesting racing today.  The premiership rumour mill is increasing and I am starting to get excited about the forth coming season for Spurs.  Have no idea what the team will be for the first game though.  Ghaly appears to have filled the right back role for the time being but I really  think we need to buy a couple of full backs to be able to compete.  This the position we lost a lot of goals from last season.  Lee and Staltteri being muscled off the ball to easily.

Strategy day

Sorry for the late post today but left early for holiday autos strategy day which was interesting.  Back to normal office day tomorrow.  Today was pay day which was nice.  I even managed to have a nice winner at Leicester in Always Best which was pleasing.   Managed to get 4.9 and trade off nicely at 1.09.

Better day

Well the technical issue which was plaguing us since Monday morning is now resolved which is good news.  Amazing how small things make the difference. Feel a lot better.   No bets or lays this afternoon.   I going to be doing so close analysis of the rating systems I have access to over the next couple of weeks and will place my thoughts on my blog.   It is imperative that I made a consistent profit and reverse the trend of the last 2 weeks.

Surely things can only get better

A rubbish day at work yesterday where things just went from bad to worse.  On the gambling front another losing lay and another losing betting race.  I have managed to lose over 5k in less than a month which is disappointing.  Discpline will remain but it times like these that sort out the winners from the losers.  I will not change what I am doing.   I remember the first 2 weeks of June where I won 9k doing the same thing.  This is not to say I won’t change things next year.   As I said at the start of the yeat judgement day is 31st December 2006.

Doldrums

After a copule of weeks in the duldrums I am now ready to kick on.  I guess my body was just recovering from all the stress of the move but now it time for me to take control again.   I need to be more focused on my racing database, on my gambling and trading.  I need to find the right work balance for both my jobs and that is what I will do.  As with everything I do I am determined to make a success.

Saturday

Be a good day. Although lost at badminton 5-0 but played ok.  Got my racing parser working again with the new racing post site so just publishing July’s results.   Another 3 placed horses today along with a winner in the evening.  Hopefully that will mark the end of my losing run.
