A
race where I can not see beyond the favourite Brave Inca. Hardy Eustace
has not been right this season and would amazing if he could regain his
form against such stiff opposition. Out of the top 5 in the market the
most questions marks for me go against Mac’s Joy and at 4/1 he maybe a
lay for me on the day. The value horses for me are Arcalis and Al Eile.

My shortlist is shown below:-

  • Brave Inca 8 ticks 15/8
  • Hardy Eustace 6 ticks 6/1 (Poor form this season)
  • Arcalis 7 ticks 7/1
  • Macs Joy 3 ticks 4/1
  • Al Eile 6 ticks 10/1

This
is a very interesting where the statistics say they one of the horses
in the top five in the betting will win. What makes it is difficult is
there are questions marks over each of the five of them. Do you take
Racing Demon the favourite trusting that the his jumping won’t prevent
him from winning? There are bigs hopes for Missed That and he cost me
dearly in the bumper last year. Very much looking forward to see what
Brimardon and Towerform shown for ratings for this race.

My shortlist is as follows:-

  • Acordion Etoile 3 ticks 11/2
  • Racing Demon 4 ticks 9/2
  • Missed That 3 ticks 13/2
  • Don’t be shy 4 ticks 10/1
  • Wild Passion 3 ticks 20/1

Sweet
wake gets all the ticks in the rights box but at 5/2 with Noel Maede
poor festival form is too short to back. This means there are
alternatives a nice prices.

  • Straw Bear 12/1 4 ticks
  • Temion 4 ticks 14/1
  • Refinement 1 tick at 16/1 but unbeaten this season.

Day 1 of my holiday

Today has been a mixed day but an enjoyable one.   It started this morning when I woke up to the cricket and watched england battle away.   I then watched a little of the morning line just because it was on.  Such a good idea poorly presented in my opinion but it reminded me once again that Cheltenham is dawning ever close.

At 8.45 am it was off to play badminton.  I thoroughly enjoyed it albeit my losing run continue but I am playing a seasoned club player and I am not even novice standard.  Losing 4-2 games was respectable even though he had the handicap of a handover.   My ankle which had been giving me trouble over the last few weeks seemed to thoroughly heeled which was nice.

I came home and checked the racing for the day.  Most of it very difficult but managed to identify 3 lays and a couple of small each way bets.  With the Spurs game on I decide to lay all 3 early so it would not spoil my enjoyment of the game.  Later on I backed one back as there was a non runner.  All 3 lays got stuffed and I profited from 2.  I also had 0.5ew on a 14/1 shot which one which was nice.  Overall a very profitable day and put me nicely back in profit for the year albeit still in the red for March.

I watched the Spurs game and was disappointed by Spurs first half performance but overall proud of the way we played.  The only thing I would have changed is Kelly got Stalteri and I would have brought Lennon on.   Despite losing very pleased with the performance though.

After the football I watched the racing, then watched all the attheraces.com previews for Cheltenham to get my mind focused.  When racing had finished updated my accounts and the betting bank price.   I removed the word "shares" because of some petty guy in Belgium. Enough said.  I did have legal advice and advice from FSA but sometime there are people in the world who have too much time on there hands.  I have had no one single complaint about the service and the majority of people who have bought and sold have made money.

I am going to continue keeping the betting bank statistics updated and keep people informed of the progress as I am confident I will show that I have learnt from my self doubts of last year and will show a very respectable profit.   Existing members will be able to share in this success but I won’t be taken any new ones.

The offering I have now is much richer than it was a year ago.  I have a database with about every single racing bit of data available and I can fairly easily keep it updated.   In addition I have 2 years worth of Brimardon data and 3 months of towerform.  Will be adding more and more systems in due course.  I now count my unique visitors in thousands rather than hundreds.

I will be posting Tueday’s short lists for Cheltenham in a minute.
