Musselburgh today.
There is only one selection than interests me.
5.10 Dancetime Lord was much shorter this moring hoping for around 3.00 mark. If the price is right will update if not then no lay. As we approach opening show looks as if no lay. Price 3.35 or less else no lay.
Lays to 10 points liability.

Oh yes just a few more frustrating hours of work to go until the weekend. For those of you who are interested I loss at badminton last night by 4-2 with every game extremely close. Just makes me :
The rematch is Saturday morning. Always good to exercise before you bet helps with concentration and focusing. Musselburgh is the only turf meeting today and nothing spectacular stands. There is a possibility of one lay but looks like I have missed the price.
Good news the boiler is still working.

My central heating is currently working. YAY! I have the joys though of draining the system again at the weekend to get some more air out but hopefully it will keep working for now.
It has been a day off the gambling which just Wincanton surviving the weather which has been nice. Work has been amusing to say the least if not very productive.
I have badminton in a minute which I am looking forward too. I finally beat my seasoned opponent last week at nth match so he will definitely want his crown back so will be a very tough game.

Day 4 of the boiler saga today waiting for them to call to let me know whether I will get am or pm visit oh what joy. Was working until midnight last night on the cars stuff. The release had not been checked very well so I have to fix a few configuration issues. Clare, my girlfriend was not impressed and I empathatise with her but what am I supposed to do.
For some strange reason despite being extremely tired I have woken on this morning feeling extremely positive which is cool. Only jump racing today and only Wincanton on so I have a look through the card latter but I think it will a day off. It is the calm before the storm the flat results are started to kick in and soon we will be in swing of summer racing which is complete madness. Morning, afternoon and evening racing. 8 months of the flat season to go as well.

2.50 Yarmouth Mine the balance 6.0 LAY Unplaced Good Price
Profit: 1.92 points
3.20 Yarmouth Wooly Bully 3.15 LAY 2rd Poor price(possible to 2.9) Profit: 4.45 points
3.50 Yarmouth Bobski 5.0 LAY 3rd Poor price (possible 3.75) Profit: 2.34 points
4.20 Yarmouth Young Mick 3.15 LAY 1st (note 2 non runners therefore you could have traded out) Profit: -8.63 (after decutions for 2 non runners)
Profit for the day: 0.08 points
Bank now stands at: 255.6 points
Disappointing as the 6th lay won easily but a sensbile start and a profit is a profit. With the non runners you could have traded out. If you laid at 3.15 with the deductions for non runner price was affectly 2.86 and Young Mick traded around 3.1 mark around the start of the race.
All lays are to a liability of 10 points.

Yes despite 2 plumbers and one boiler engineer I still do not have a central heating system that works and my water system is still sounding on the sick side. Can not get anyone until tomorrow now so the sage continues. Another visit to the dentist today. Only £95 today. March 2006 has been a very expensive month indeed.
I think maybe it is time to move so I will start house hunting at the weekend.

The boiler is now fixed cost me another £200. Not a good month have the dentist tomorrow so next month’s credit card bill going to be shocking but at least I have central heating and healthier teeth.

Target is 200 points profit in 6 months. I will publish the extremely strict selection criterion at the weekend. I will aim to post all lays selection 30 minutes before racing. I will also be logging them with Online Betting Guide user ramps so you can follow my selections there too.
I have 2 selections today:
4.10 Folkstone Sarah’s Art 5.2 LAY Unplaced Profit: 2.36
5.10 Folkestone Black Beauty 4.4 LAY Unplaced Profit: 3.16
All lays are done to maximum liability of 10 points. I feel this is an easier way to monitor the system than level stake laying and stops the price variations causing big differences.
Bank Start: 250 points on 28th March 2006
Bank End: 255.52 points on 28th March 2006

An early start this morning as my girlfriend starts day 2 of her new job and is leaving extra early until she has sussed the traffic. The heating broke again so I am glad I didn’t cancel the boiler person who is supposed to come today but the water is still working which is cool although I am £80 lighter in the pocket. Cheaper than the dentist which cost me £150 last week and I have another appointment tomorrow which will cost similar. March has become an expensive month and has been a losing month on the horses as well. Role on April is all I will say.
Maybe my luck is changing though as Spurs managed to win last night when they deserved to get beat and Enlgand are currently have restricted India to 146/7. So assuming my boiler gets fixed this morning then things will be all rosy in the garden again so to speak.
Racing comes from Folkestone and Sedgefield today so I maybe able to nick a few quid although the changable weather and ground conditions may thinks trickier than normal but it is all part of the game. Hopefully by the weekend I will find some more time to work on my racing database. I like to produce some more indepth analysis of last years last and also add Adrian Massey’s stats in to my comparions as well. Oh well time to log in to work and see what is broken and needs my special kinda of attention.

I was
rudely awoken this morning by water hammering. To top this I then found my
boiler was not working and all this on the day my girlfriend started her new
job. I managed to get this all resolved
by now but not the way to my week of to a good start.
On the
betting front today there was only Plumpton where I had one short price lay which
lost I won’t mention it as I don’t wait to be called an after timer.
The good
thing is I am still on a positive way after a great weekend where I truly think
I found a new friend and I don’t have many true friends so I am over the moon
about this. Too many long hours in the
office has made Brian a dull boy but now I trying to break the mould.
