I don’t want anybody calling me an aftertime but I did manage to make a few points today from laying Monger Lane and backing Hawk’s Landing with Yes my lord as a saver. So close thought the 11/2 shot was going to do the business. The important things is I made a profit in Febraury only just but another 6.4 points profit. That makes it 7 months out of 7.
After december’s fantastic profit Janaury and Fberuary have been extremely disappoting but am confident that March will be good. Cheltenham is 2 weeks away and flat season will soon be upon us again.
I really appreciate all the emails I am getting and all the visitors to my homepage and results subdomains. Keep them coming and tell your friends. I spend a lot of time making sure the results are updated and a lot more work will be put into as the weeks and months go by. I want my site to become a site that people visit for all the latest racing statistics. I also like to point people at a great site for all betting OLBG .

It was back to winning days yesterday which was nice. The prices at Leicester are a little on the short side so I doubt I be getting heavily involved. There maybe a lay in Monger Lane but will depend very much on the price and whether there are any non runners. As for Catterick strike ratio there on goft to soft is only 22.72% so caution will prevail. Plenty of laying opportunities if the prices are right.

The lays have battered us over the past 2 weeks and although this happens sometimes and to be expected it still makes you think am I still doing the right things? The answer is yes but doubting yourself is not a bad quality as long as you can prove to yourself rather than kid yourself a losing month does not mean a losing year.
On today’s racing. Plumpton is a happy hunting ground normally for us but with the very tricky ground conditions it may not be worth a serious investment would need very tempting prices to get involved. The strike rate for the handicap hurdle at Plumpton is 64.29% and there are 2 today so if both have the right prices then may have a go. Overall strike rate at Plumpton is a very healthy 46.67% but this drops to 33.3 when the ground is soft or softer. Caution is the word.
Ayr has an overall strike ratio of 38.46% but again drop to 33.3% when ground is soft or softer. Only the handicap hurdle looks of interest.

14:40 Fontwell SWEET OONA @ 4.8 from Betfair
Finally picked up her first win on her last outing at Uttoxeter when beating Rowlands Dream by 4 lengths over 2m. Todays trip is 2m 4f and although a weight penalty is implied she should still go on to beat the main danger of Methodical. She looked like she was always going to a maybe horse after picking up six seconds 10 runs and couldn’t find that win but now she has managed to get up and win this should help her go again and do it again today. Miss V Williams has had 8 runners go off at Fontwell in 2006 and has produced 2 winners and 2 places and Thomas has riden 74 horses the Williams stable this year collection 13 wins and 16 places.
Lets hope this will follow up from yesterday’s winner.
I have updated all the racing results up to the 25th February on my racing site.

Napolitain 2.10 Sandown – Won well lto when beating Stable mate
Albuhera and Turpin Green in a Grade 1 event around here. He went into
that race with excellent form when he was second behind The Listener at
Cheltenham and that race has thrown up some excellent form. The ground
will be very different from his last win but this bogy going will be
better as it is an Ex-French horse who loves soft going. Bold Bishop
seems to be the main danger after winning a good couple of races but
that stable is still doubtable whether they are in form and has to give
away 7lbs to this horse.

Sandown, Chepstow and Newcastle on softy or heavy ground very trappy indeed. Have had a good look through the cars and nothing much inspires me. I liked Napolitain and Gallant Approach but with Bold Bishop a likely non runner then the prices are likely to be too short.
Struggling to find any lays to get me back on roll today. Probably going to be a quite day on the racing front but Cheltenham is just around the corner.

I eventually sided with 2 lays today and they both cost me. Chabriminal Minister travelled well through out and new I need a fall to same me from pretty earlier on. Jacks Craic always looked like he would be beat by Without a doubt until the run in.
I did a little better on the betting side with one losing race and 2 winning races. In the first race I have Nocatee and Ironside backed them came 2rd and 3rd. Next it was Gods token who won nicely for me, followed quickly by Moorlands again ( a brave winner). Wounded but still fighting is how I sum today up.

Sandown is my local course so to speak unfortunately it is one of my least favourite courses from a betting angle. My system has an overall strike ratio of 26.47% which is o.k. but just don’t seem to get of the rub of the green. For some reason Novice hurdle form does work out here with a strike ratio of just 14%. You would do better with a pin trust me. Looking at the prices today I won’t be placing any win bets.
Warwick is a different kettle of fish. Overall strike ration is 36.87% but increases to 48% when the ground is soft or heavy as it is today. So hopeful the Warwick meeting will go ahead. If it does then I will be looking at 3 races in particular.
The 2.15 Novice chase, I think Chambinal Mister is opposable and therefore this mean Nocatee and Ironside become value (5.8 and 10.0 currently). The 3.25 Handicap Hurdle is on paper a contest between 3 horses according to the betting market. I think one of three Monte Cinto is opposable again and therefore the other two look good.
The 3.55 Handicap Chase is a similar story I think Native Ivy is far too short and therefore Moorlands again becomes value with probably Willie John Daly as a saver.
I won’t dwell too much as the weather may prevent racing and even if is doesn’t conditions are tricky therefore won’t be risking too much. Will be hoping just to nick a few quid.

Lindsay romped home to day to end my good laying run. Oh well reminds of odl contest at school her name Lindsay Maidment and she was a fantastic girl. Another one to add the list of people I wish I had kept in contact with. Maybe one day she log back onto freinds re-united or one of new friends will stumble across my website and she will get in touch.
Had a look through the cards at Haydock and Huntingdon and think it will be a quiet day which is good.
I decided to play in the champions league tonight and won on all 4 matches how jammy and am I. I laid the team that was favourite based on money just before kick off. A late goal by Rangers and 2 by Werden Bremen made sure I had a very tidy profit.
After leaving work early I hit that tiredness wall. Had a sleep and then did some work one my websites whilst watching the football.

Make me smile that lastminute are promoting this since I can not remember a single week in the 3 years that lastminute have owned holdiay autos where I have only worked my hours. Yesterday was another great example started work at 7am and finished at 1am lovely. So you know where my website have been neglected and my blog also.
Yesterday was a good day at Exeter but this was expected as the system I use had a 53.03% strike rate on soft ground.
Ludlow looks interesting today if the ground remains good. Overall strike ratio at Ludlow is 36.61% but increases to 43.3 on good ground, with handicap chases being the most successful. There are 2 handicap chases today so if the prices are right then the money will go down.
I have done a little work over the weekend on the racing results website so you can now easily switch between towerform results (2006 only) and Brimardon results. I will be adding a lot more details over the coming weeks.
I like to thank all the people who email me on a daily basis and welcome all suggestions whether negative or postive.
